| Nice start. I suppose it's also missing a loader library, to be usable. Also would be nice to create some wizards (guided procedures) for some predefined types of particles. My editor is missing them as well. | |

You're right, by the way these wizards are already in the road-map. For the loader lib, there already are save/load function (the scene is loaded from a file, try changing "test.spes.txt" and start the exe - if this file doesn't exist, open the editor and close it to force the creation of the file), but there is no gui button for the save func^^ | |

| Our game has BETA quality now and is going to be quality tested in few days, in Bigfish Games QA labs, and its special effects are made using SPARK and SimpleSpark libraries. The game is made with Irrlicht 3D engine and based on DirectX8 renderer and parallel 2D projection (depth component ignored). This also means, that SimpleSpark is currently near the production quality (i.e. not covering every aspect of SPARK, but doing well with what it supports atm). Our previous game (released 10 OCT 2009) was made with HGE engine, and used HGE's 2D particles. | I'm able to compile the version R0.4, but it doesn't work - maybe your Irrlicht version is modified.

| Hi, kvakvs. I m glad you used SPARK in your pro project and hope it was useful.
If you have some screenshots of some particle effects in your game, dont hesitate to post in the showcase part of the forum, I ll be interested in seeing it. | |

| Uploaded R0.5 to http://lytovchenko.ca/simplespark/ http://longcat.info/index.php?id=5It now includes examples/ folder with (basically) every particle found in the game. Game is not yet available for download, I will tell you when its released (Estimated 15 August or around that date). I'll have to think how to prepare media with particles showcase, maybe make a video from selected scenes and upload it to Youtube. | |
